Mrs. Kostreci holds a degree
in political sciences from University of Tirana.
She has taught for about 20 years in middle schools
and high schools in the cities of Elbasan and Tirana
in Albania. During this time she has served as a
member in various boards for social studies curriculum
development. In the last few years before moving
to US, mrs. Kostreci served as the principal of
a high school in the city of Tirana. She has also
served as project coordinator for issues involving
women and children.
Sofika
Kaba
Dr.
Sofika Kaba has a PhD in Philology. Her academic experience
includes twenty years as a full professor at the
University of Tirana,
Faculty of Foreign Languages, Department of English
Language. Dr. Kaba served
as a member of the National Commission that updated
the English
language curriculum and tested teachers. She was
also a member of the State
High Commission that tested and certified English
proficiency. Dr. Kaba
received post doctoral specialization in England
on contemporary methods
of teacher training. Subsequently she worked as a
Senior Consultant on
educational programs at the Peace Corps in Tirana.
Additionally, she
was coauthor, program developer and instructor of
TOEFL preparation
courses when they were offered for the first time
in Albania.
Since her arrival in the US in 1999, Dr. Kaba has
been working as an
instructor of the Albanian language to American diplomats
and military
personnel assigned to work in Albania and Kosovo.
